POEMS ON THE EMERY GO-ROUND: submissions open

Wouldn’t it be neat if people getting on public transportation had the option of picking up a poem written by a different local writer each month? The Poet Laureate program of The City of Emeryville and the Emeryville Transit Management Authority think so, too! Until August 1st, they’re accepting submissions for the launch of Poems on the Emery Go-Round.

Each person may submit 2-3 previously unpublished poems no longer than 15 lines each, on any subject or theme — though they say they’re looking for poems that “surprise, delight, and inspire.” You can get all the rest of the info here.
