Every year to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Youth Speaks rallies the troops to present original works and voices inspired by the life, thoughts, and visions of the great man. “We create a safe space,” they say, “a beloved community where our young people can—in the presence of many—give voice to realities that must be understood, embraced, and integrated into our common lives.”
