Erica Eller hosted the 3rd installment of Hazel, a chain reading series in which women writers select one author to follow them for the subsequent show. Because of this, the work was extremely diverse and a lot of people didn’t really know one another, which was really neat, and it was in this really expansive loft space at Cesar Chavez and Valencia. In fact, Eller told me she and her partner Kayvon had a bunch of great dinner parties there and she just thought they should use the space for something more people could benefit from. Thus, Hazel (there were also snacks and drinks provided). Two of the readers have requested their videos not be posted, which is all the worse for those not there; it’s certainly not from lack of quality work. Readers were, in the following order:
