Drag Queen Story Hour Featuring Yves St. Croissant

April 19, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am UTC+0

Free

Created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco, Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

ABOUT YVES
Contrary to her picture perfect exterior Yves Saint Croissant is a rebel heart who’s always romping around with the punks, queers and club kidz. She’s immersed herself in a culture-making crowd both past and present and is headed straight to the top with them right by her side.
