Legacy of Poetry Slam: Finals

The Legacy of Poetry Slam’s purpose is to promote poetry as a vital art form with a broad authorship. The diversity of poetry in the United States and in California by writers born outside the United States or who are the children or grandchildren of immigrant families facilitates cultural awareness and cross-cultural communication and understanding.

Our 8 finalists will perform their poem in front of a great audience, judges and emcee Mighty Mike McGee, Santa Clara County Poet Laureate. So, come out and support these amazing poets who will pour out a myriad of words in form of poems around our theme: migration and diaspora.
