Jorge Tetl Argueta, brilliant Salvadoran-born poet and author, whose works include many award-winning bilingual children’s books and the recent young adult novel-in-verse Caravan to the North, will read from that latter book and from the manuscript of a forthcoming collection for adults “Twenty Street Poems and a Love Song.” An important contributor to the San Francisco Bay Area literary world for several decades, Mr. Argueta is the San Mateo County Poet Laureate for 2023-2024.
For the occasion, musicians Dr. Loco and Francisco Herrera will contribute their talents.
