My Shadow is My Skin virtual book reading

My Shadow is My Skin (University of Texas Press) is a new nonfiction anthology exploring the meaning of being Iranian-American. The collection brings together thirty-two authors, both established and emerging, whose writing captures the diversity of of Iranian diasporic experiences. Six contributors (Mandana Chaffa, Leila Emery, Katherine Whitney, Dena Rod, Shideh Etaat, and Siamak Vossoughi) will be sharing work from their pieces as part of an online reading at 10 am PST/12 noon CST on Sunday, May 3rd. The authors welcome all listeners interested in taking part in this effort to tell our own stories with the hope of better understanding our place in the world.
