Rod Smith is the author of Touché (Wave Books, 2015), What’s the Deal? (Song Cave, 2010), Deed (University of Iowa Press, 2007), In Memory of My Theories (O Books, 1996) and several others books and chapbooks. He edits the journal Aerial, publishes Edge Books, and manages Bridge Street Books in Washington, DC. He has taught writing at the Corcoran College of Art & Design, George Mason University, the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and the Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art. Smith edited The Selected Letters of Robert Creeley (U. Cal., 2014) with Peter Baker and Kaplan Harris.
Lee Ann Brown was born in Japan and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the author of Other Archer (Presses Universitaires de Rouen et du Havre, 2015), In the Laurels, Caught (Fence Books, 2013), Crowns of Charlotte (Carolina Wren Press, 2013), The Sleep That Changed Everything (Wesleyan, 2003), and Polyverse (Sun & Moon Press, 1999), which won the 1996 New American Poetry Competition. In 1989, Brown founded Tender Buttons Press, which is dedicated to publishing experimental women’s poetry. She now lives in New York City, where she teaches at St. John’s University and curates poetry events through Torn Page.
