Erin Redfern’s poetry has appeared locally in Zyzzyva, Red Wheelbarrow, and Porter Gulch Review. In 2015 she co-edited Poetry Center San Jose’s print publication, Caesura, and for the past two years she has served as poetry judge for the San Francisco Unified School District’s Arts Festival. Her work has been nominated for Best of the Net by Crab Fat Literary Magazine and Blue Lyra Review, and she is a 2016 winner of the Robert H. Winner Memorial Award given by the Poetry Society of America. Since returning to her native San Jose after completing her PhD in English in 2003, Erin has lived here as a teacher, tutor, and writing mentor. Ted Gehrke was born in Portland, Oregon and lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the midst of redwoods. Founder of the Fountain Blues Festival, he has been a major force in cultivating the music scene of San Jose for decades having featured such greats as Bo Diddley, Etta James, Koko Taylor and Buddy Guy. He’s finishing the follow-up to his book, Dedicate Me To Your Favorite Charity, and working on a novel.
