Join the editors of ZYZZYVA and some of its contributors from the Bay Area Issue for a night of short readings and celebration. Tonight’s feature readers include Lydia Conklin\, Sara Mumolo\, Andrew Roe\, sam sax\, Nina Schuyler\, and Matthew Zapruder. \nABOUT THE READERS \nLYDIA CONKLIN is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford. Her fiction has appeared in Tin House\, The Southern Review\, The Gettysburg Review\, and other publications. \nSARA MUMOLO is the author of the poetry collection Day Counter (Omnidawn)\, and is the associate director for the MFA Creative Writing Program at St. Mary’s College of California. \nANDREW ROE is the author of the novel The Miracle Girl (Algonquin Books)\, a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction. \nsam sax is a Stegner Fellow at Stanford and the author of Bury It (Wesleyan University Press)\, winner of the James Laughlin Award. \nNINA SCHUYLER is the author of the novels The Translator (Pegasus Books) and The Painting (Algonquin Books)\, a finalist for the Northern California Book Award. \nMATTHEW ZAPRUDER is the author of several poetry collections\, most recently Father’s Day (Copper Canyon Press)\, as well as the nonfiction book Why Poetry (Ecco)\, and is an associate professor at St. Mary’s College of California.
