Their goal is to work with and bring together communities of multi-racial\, multi-cultural and multi-identifying women. They want to create a safe space for women poets\, writers\, and lovers of literature to gather together and celebrate women’s art. Their aim is to create a space where women can gather together to create\, perform\, and support each other in their artistic endeavors in the Bay Area. \nAll of the members of The Daughter’s Tongue will explore the body in relationship to language\, arts\, politics and personal and communal empowerment through performance. A special edition chapbook will be on sale the night of the show.
