Wow. I got distracted from my cancer, and paperwork when I heard Cassandra’s voice; and as her words and the words of the others filled me, it occurred to me how much I miss quiet quiet lightening, and love being filled with spoken word – that I am healed by the words of the poets in our literary family of friends that carry the cultural freight of authenticity that defines our time. My dis-ease is the distraction; the words of our chosen family heal me enough to get up out of bed and to use the same pen and paper on the same page that was paperwork yesterday to begin writing inspired once again.
