Quiet Lightning presents a special edition of Better Ancestors, a quarterly series showcasing writers of color, at Medicine for Nightmares in San Francisco on June 21, 2024, part of the annual Flor y Canto festival. Hosted by Evan Karp and featuring, in order of appearance:

The next event will be held on September 14 at China Camp State Park in San Rafael. Co-presented by California State Parks as part of our Poetry in Parks series, this event will also include our first in-person literary mixtape since March of 2020.
