Held at Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion, the Spring Book Sale will feature over 400,000 books, DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media in over 100 categories.

EVERYTHING is $3 or less, with a 3-2-1 scale: $3-hard cover books; $2-paperback books; $1-DVDs, CDs, books on tape, vinyl and other forms of media. All items remaining on Sunday will be $1 or less.

All proceeds support the San Francisco Public Library’s education programs that promote literacy for children, teens and adults.

Throughout the year, Friends of the SFPL staff and volunteers collect both used and new books from estate sales, businesses, publishers and book donors across San Francisco. Visit FriendsSFPL.org for more information or to register to volunteer.

New This Year:  Rare and Collectable Booth

Not only is the 2^nd Annual Spring Sale 25% bigger than last year, but book experts have been setting aside the best books from both their Donation Center and bookstores for a Rare and Collectable booth at the Spring Book Sale. Featuring books such as Knowing Darkness: Artists Inspired by Stephen King (Deluxe Ltd Edition), signed by all 33 contributing artists, a first edition of The New City by Lebbeus Woods, a first edition of Viggo Mortensen’s of words and images by Native Americans entitled Miyelo, and more!

Member and Donor Preview Sale & Reception

Friends Members (at any level) and Book Donors are invited for a first look at over 400,000 books and media during the Preview Sale & Reception.
