Above is the entire show, which was surprisingly funny. It’s so amazing to meet new authors every month by seeing them read for the first time; when curating a show, you never know what kind of presence you’re actually going to get in the performance. We did this one without a microphone and I think the atmosphere was pretty perfect; Alley Cat’s back room is a great venue for a reading like this one, and it was full of people there for the first time (probably not an overstatement to say 98% of the people had never been to Alley Cat, and there were maybe 30 folks new to Quiet Lightning). A very successful show!
